I first spotted the Jopen Key Comet Wand whilst over at the eroFame show in Hannover at the end of last year. Californian Exotics had a very impressive stand and I was immediately drawn to the collection of “Key” products which were displayed at the front of the stand.

JimmyJane Form 6 G3

I opened my mailbox to be greeted by an invitation to try out the upgraded version of the Jimmyjane Form 6 vibrator. Now, what else could I say but yes. My last encounter with the Form 6 was way back in 2009 and as I recall it rocked my world.

But technology has moved on since then so how would this 2012 version fare up against today’s pleasure objects?

For now let’s focus on the improvements which have been made since my last encounters with the Form 6. As I recall the charging base wasn’t very practical with contact between the conductive parts being flaky to say the least. Although I know this was addressed in a later upgrade which I didn’t have the pleasure of reviewing I can only compare between my original encounter and now.

I found the charging base more compact and practical, easier to use than the previous model with sprung contacts to make the connection more reliable – but the actual instructions were lacking. Nowhere could I find information on power level indicator lights. The pictoral manual, whilst good at imparting information regarding multi zone charging and that a full charge is 8 hours did not indicate what you should look for in terms of your vibrator being fully charged.

I mounted my Form 6 on its charging base ensuring that contact was made with the brushed stainless collar and lights either side of the + symbol illuminated which was fine but after more than 12 hours charging the same lights were still displayed. This made me think, was the Form 6 fully charged when it arrived? Or is there no differential between charging and fully charged? Which of course would not be a good idea.

( I searched on both Jimmyjane’s site and the Internet and couldn’t find any information regarding charge indication.)

Either way I decided to continue with my review regardless.

Lelo Ina 2 Vibrator

It’s quite a while since I did a sex toy review for the original Lelo Ina, so I was delighted when Lelo approached me to test and review the all new, upgraded Lelo Ina 2. Just one moment while I check just how long ago that was now, got me thinking…it was almost 2 years ago that I first reviewed her.

OMG! Is it really that long ago?

I opened the packaging to reveal a slimmer but more elongated external box than the original with the LELO ident in the centre of the front and a slightly larger than life image of the Ina on the rear. No doubting which product is concealed within.

Within the outer packaging is the classy signature matt black box with embossed LELO logo. I slipped off the lid to reveal a sumptuous black velvet interior housing the Ina. To the far end secured in its own compartment was the International charger, instruction booklet, black satin pouch for storage, a sachet of lube and a credit card style product registration card. In fact everything you need to send you on your way to pleasure.

…I’m back. Visually there are several differences to note if you are a bit of a toy buff, like me.

The Ina 2 has a longer insertable section than its predecessor, aiding g-spot targeting.
There is a winder gap between the main shaft of the vibrator and the rabbit in the later edition.
I noted in my review of the Ina 1 that the rabbit was quite rigid and inflexible, this has been addressed in this latest version. The rabbit vibe is far more flexible and yielding to your shape.

One aspect of the Lelo Ina I do wish they would change is the charging point. I would like to see them using inductive charging which doesn’t involve “plugging in” your pleasure product. Personally, I find the rubber tab with bung cheapens the appearance of an otherwise classy product.

It’s a while since I tested and reviewed a Fun Factory sex toy so I was quite excited to receive one of the latest G4 sex toys to review. And the packaging has undergone a complete revamp since the last product I tested, the outer sleeve has the feel of the 1950’s yet brought right up to date even incorporating a QR code linking to further product information, check out the link here

A nice touch is the cheeky reference to a pearl necklace in one of the images. However some of the feature icons don’t quite hit the mark and had me guessing what they represented which I suppose can add an element of fun, Lol. Some were obvious but others went wide of the mark, so whereas most were understandable whatever language you speak, one or two we unintelligible and had to be guessed at.

Once the outer cover was slipped off I was quite disappointed with the inner packaging which was flimsy and cheap in appearance, card with a plastic inner housing the G4 Calla vibe. But I suppose you could argue that Fun Factory produce high quality products at reasonable prices.

Take note if you need to fully charge your vibe then it will take around 6 hours, so plan ahead to ensure you have enough juice to make your flow. I had charged mine through the afternoon so by early evening it was read to go and so was I.

When a representative from Jimmyjane contacted me suggesting that I test and sex toy review their latest progeny I simply couldn’t refuse. Historically I’ve only reviewed one other toy from this manufacturer and it was some time ago but left lasting memories, it was the Form 6.

They have completely revolutionised the one thing that I didn’t like about the Form 6 which incidentally had nothing to do with the toy but the charging unit which was difficult to use because alignment had to be so precise that it made it awkward to get that position just right. Although I do believe in later models they developed the charging unit making it more user friendly.

Jimmyjane have now developed a new universal recharging base for their Form 2, 3 and to be released 4, simply sit the base of the toy on the stand ensuring the contacts line up and away you go. It also means of course, that you can use just one charger for all your toys which has to be green.

The shape of the Jimmyjane Form 3 sits well in the hand, the word ergonomic springs to mind. There comes a time in every sex toy tester’s career when he is able to say with authority “In comparison with other prostate massagers and anal toys I have tried …”. The fact is I have tried quite a number of anal toys from small vibes, through metal and jelly butt plugs to highly specialised prostate massagers such as the Nexus range. So when I came to try the Rude Boy by Rocks-Off, I wasn’t expecting to be able to say much that I hadn’t already said before. The fact it it’s been around for a while and I can’t say that I was impressed by it’s appearance. The insertable part of the toy is smooth, unlike say the Nexus range whose form is carefully sculpted to match the male anatomy. Nor is the bullet a cutting edge design – on or off that’s the only choice you have.

But the Rude Boy delivers, it really delivers. You see the fact that the toy is made of soft medical grade silicone, and has a smooth shaft makes it easy to insert. With a more shaped toy like the Nexus Gyro you get a more intense sensation from the opening of your rectum right up to your P-Spot. That’s great if you’re a) not an anal virgin and b) have the time to let the Gyro rest in your ass for a while and relax. The Rude Boy however is a much easier toy to use and provides stimulation of a less intense nature.

Unless you’ve experienced both I would say you would have difficulty understanding the difference between a Gyro and a Rude Boy. I suppose a metaphor is in order. The Gyro is a double espresso with a Pro-Plus on the side, the Rude Boy is a nice strong Nescafé with a little sugar to take the edge of the bitterness.
