Fifty Days Of Play

Fifty Days Of Play

From the title of this post it doesn’t take much for you to conclude if you’ve been listening to the media hype that this game is clearly inspired by the 50 Shades Of Grey phenomenon which has been sweeping the globe.

The bold black and white packaging of Fifty Days Of Play alludes to bondage & restraint with a rather attractive couple engaging in Femme Domme play.  She has him under her control using his leather tie.

A promise of what lies beneath perhaps?

The rear of the box gives a brief explanation of the game, ecplaining that there are “50 invitations for pleasurable adventures for loving couples who want to play”.  A tempting thought and one which promises to add a little spice to your boudoir activities.

Once the lid is lifted you are presented with a stiff plastic liner containing 5 sets of cards each with a different colour ranging from white to black.  Each one of these sets consists of 10 envelopes.  Alongside these is a dice which has 6 different circular colour patches.

You spotted the discrepancy!  Yes there are colour corresponding to the envelopes and an additional one which is pink and gives the roller of the dice free range over the choice of task they wish to have performed for them or on them.

With me?

Seriously, this is a very straight forward game.  You select a card based on the roll of the dice and your lover has to perform the task concealed in the envelope.  No boards to try and lay on uneven surfaces or counters which may move as the board does on the bed.  The game is also not a competitive one which makes for a more relaxed atmosphere although someone with a competitive nature will have to enjoy the thrill of the ride.  ;)

At this point I should point out that in low light the yellow and white sides of the dice are virtually indistinguishable so it may not be possible to play this without having the “big light” on.  Lol

As an example of the extremity of the challenges given I will quote one of the “White” task cards.  Wishing On A Star, you write down three wishes that your partner or both of you can fulfil.  A nice way to ease you in to more intense play later.

Eventually you will roll the dice and be required to select a card from the “Black” section.  Don’t worry you aren’t going to be challenged to whip your slave to within an inch of their lives, well not unless you want to do so with the roll of a pink spot.  ;0

I pulled a Black card from the set of 10 and it read “Get Jiggy With It” this turned out to be a suggestion that you slip in some Ben Wa Balls and more importantly, it kinkily suggested that if you didn’t have any to hand you should shop for some.  What a great idea, sex toy shopping together.  Toys aren’t just for singletons.  ;)

I’m sure you will agree the concept of this game is simplicity and fun, a few “Task” cards coupled with a bit of your own imagination can lead to lots of naughty fun.

One suggestion I would make is that you read through the cards before embarking upon a few rolls of the dice is that you quickly read through the cards together in daylight hours to discover what you may need to equip yourself with before the game starts in earnest.

For example there are cards referring to rope and vibrators so you may need to check if you have the required equipment before you embark upon your voyage of sexual experimentation.

Initially this game may appear to be one which should be played in an evening but I see this as a Daily Task game.

Why not try slipping a card in to your lovers suit pocket/handbag at the start of the day and eagerly await their return at the end of the day.  Oooh, so naughty and exciting to spend all day anticipating them fulfilling their Task.

What can I say, it’s simple, enjoyable and a great way to spice up both new and long term relationships.  Roll that dice baby!

XXX Truth Or Dare

XXX Truth Or Dare

This adult game is the first one I’ve noticed having a disclaimer/warning inside about the potential for the game to be “objectionable” to either the players or even the law in the country within which you are playing it. A sensible precaution I suppose, though with a name that starts “XXX” and a box that states “Extreme Adult Gaming” you would think that the purchaser and/or supplier would have realised that.

The black glossy box contains your game board, a stack of “Truth” cards, a stack of “Dare” cards, a dice, a timer and player markers to track your position on the board. You also have a little deck of “XXX” cards used to keep track of how many times you’ve been around the board – an important aspect of the game.

The rules for the game fit onto one side of a piece of paper smaller than a piece of A5. The game requires that you travel around the board obeying the instructions on the squares which include taking a Truth or Dare card, having a drink or “Up to You” which means you can move to the next Truth or Dare square on the board and take a card. This sex game encourages players to take cards and in doing so makes sure you quickly get down the stacks. When a player finishes a circuit of the board they take a XXX card and when they have two can instruct one or more of the other players to do something – what the other players do is up to the “Master” with two XXX cards. After this the “Master” returns the cards and you carry on. Presumably until you’re too drunk to continue or (literally) shagged out.

Truth and Dare cards are exactly as they sound. Truth instructs you to tell the other players about your fantasies and previous sexual experiences. Dare cards give you sexual tasks to perform that range from French kissing all the other players to “doing whatever you like” with another player.

XXX Truth Or Dare

XXX Truth Or Dare

From what I just said you have probably realised that you have to be pretty comfortable with your playing partners to consider pulling this one out of the games cupboard during a dinner party. It’s about telling everyone your saucy secrets and acting out your fantasies. Now that’s great if the friends around you are like-minded and want to get into your pants as much as you want to be in theirs but means it’s not a game to get out when the vicar comes round for tea.

For a couple (how we played it) then it’s going to get you talking (dirty), laughing and probably horny too. It would be good at the start of a relationship in that it would get you to open up or later on when you know each other to maybe encourage you to try new things.

The simplicity of the game encourages you to play it. The unsophisticated rules are easy to understand, even if you’re a bit worse for wear, in fact if you’re too drunk to follow them you’ll be past caring anyway! If I had to criticise I’d have to say that the number and variety of Truth and Dare cards should be increased, or you should be provided with cards to write your own Truth/Dares on to broaden and personalise the game. But otherwise it’s a great game that doesn’t require too much effort to understand and can be a great deal of fun.

The makers of XXX Truth or Dare Game also offers variants of the game to suit other sexualities and scenarios “Couples”, “Gay”, “Lesbian” and a one called “Twist or Dare”. Something to suite everyone it would seem.

Tease Adult Game

Tease Adult Game

When I contact the makers of the Tease Game I was urged by its creator to play the game with at least one other couple. The reason for this will become clear below, but I bet your naughty little minds are already exploring the possibilities of playing an adult game with an open minded couple …

I’ll start with first impressions – bloody marvellous. We’ve played a few adult games since we started testing and the finish of the product, printing quality, design and standard of instructions can be variable. Tease is at the top end of the scale, in fact IMHO it’s the best presented game I’ve reviewed. Why? Well, partly because of the pin-up theme, I’m a sucker for that look, but also because it has nice wooden player avatars/counters (as opposed to plastic) and a mock-canvass type finish to the board and box.

Everything follows the pin-up theme from box, through board to game cards – but it’s the game cards where I have to level my first criticism. The text on them is printed in grey, on white this could be a problem but the cards have a variety of pastel coloured backgrounds and this means that especially in low light they are very difficult to read.

Well on to the game play. This is described in the 8 page A5 booklet that accompanies your Tease Game. I’m not going to describe the rules in detail, suffice to say that the game involves traversing the game board by the use of the supplied dice. You are directed by the comprehensive and extensive set of rules to traverse the board, gaining rewards, paying forfeits and becoming increasingly familiar with your playmates. You do this through telling each other secrets, acting out increasingly sexual and intimate actions and eventually acting out your fantasies.

Did I mention that you will also be required to strip when you land on “strip” squares?

We invited a couple we’ve known for years across for drinks and fun to test the Tease Game, telling them we’d picked up this game as a bit of a giggle and thought they’d be up for trying it out. Our experience of previous games meant we thought that as longstanding friends they’d enjoy a bit of risqué fun and an evening of drunken kiss and tell.

Well we only got to level two! Even though drinking is an integral part of the game, bringing with it its consequent reduction of inhibitions.

I ought to explain, the “Reward” and “Forfeit” cards that are used in the game start of at 1 and go up to 5. Depending on the type of game played (and this is laid out in detail in the instructions) you have a different mix of cards, but always cards up to level 5. The way the game is structured means that you have to get to level 5, get naked and act out a fantasy to complete it.

Which is why, as a group of 4 we didn’t complete it. It became apparent that in the early stages we were having fun, telling each other about our sexual fantasies and performing the occasional naughty forfeit. That was our limit, naughty. To progress to the sexual, intensely intimate levels of the game would have taken a different set of people. We even tried a little massage, shoulder massage, not the “chest massage” (and more intimate touching) instructed by the game, it was all a little too much for even very good friends.

Tease Board And Dice

Tease Game

When it became apparent that the cards were a little too much for us to countenance we spent the rest of the evening reading them to each other and were able to a) enlighten our friends on a few sexual terms they were unfamiliar with and b) found out they weren’t as sexually naïve as we thought they were from some of their sexual tales!

I like the way in which the game tries to ensure that all players reach the same level of undress and naughtiness together while maintaining fun and the element of competition through “Balance” squares. That reflects the care and attention to detail applied to the construction of the whole game.

When it comes to acting out your fantasies at the end of the game you are provided with some pretty good, pretty popular fantasies and blank fantasy cards for you to add your own particular favourites.

This game is great for couples who swing, I mean really swing. It’s not really possible to fully play the Tease Game with more than two people unless you are ready to get naked and dirty with them. Playing as a couple is OK, we tried it the following night, but the voyeuristic elements of the game obviously don’t work as well – e.g. “player goes into another room to masturbate and the other players walk in after three minutes to watch” – though you can adapt this. We find this with a lot of adult games, unless they press your buttons you have to adapt so when Suze and I hit this particular forfeit we did what the card said but being used to watching each other masturbate it wasn’t quite the same as watching someone else’s partner.

In summary, this is a great game for swingers and adventurous groups of couples but as a game for a couple it has a different dynamic, particularly if you already know each other’s fantasies and kinks. Playing the game at the 1, 2 and perhaps 3 levels of reward/forfeit might be OK of couples who like a bit of raunchy fun with friends, but unless you take the game to its ultimate naked and sexual end you will explore only a fraction of the Tease Game’s potential. A beautifully produced and well thought-out game but only the truly sexually adventurous will be able to play it to conclusion.

Sexopoly

Sexopoly

Before we start this sex toy review I would like to point out that Sexopoly have changed their name to Risky or Frisky…

“her skirt slid back down her thigh and revealed her red satin panties as a provocative triangle at the top of her thighs …”

How can you resist a sex toy review with eight sex toys in one box? OK, so the sex toys are the little plastic counters with which you play the Sexopoly Game but eight sex toys is eight sex toys.

We have reviewed a number of adult games in the past, some were so bad that we didn’t even bother publishing the review, but others are great fun and a way to encourage intimacy and a bit of naughtiness. What they tended to have in common though, be they aimed at couples or groups of friends, is that they emphasised the truth or dare, question and answer, and ultimately the goal of getting it on. So when we were asked to review Sexopoly and heard an overview of the game we were a little unsure how things would work out.

Let me explain.

Sexopoly is a game for up to eight players. Each player moving around a square board using a counter in the shape of a cock ring or a vibrator. You have a pair of dice and with each throw you progress on your quest to become the most successful adult business mogul. If you land on an un-owned business you can buy it, then players who subsequently land on that business pay you “rent”. The businesses range from sex shops, through sex toy distributors to the ultimate in profitable but risky adult businesses – adult film studios. You can gain cash and favours by successfully answering questions when you land on a question card square, though failing to answer brings the forfeit of loosing an item of clothing. Risky or Frisky sets you tasks which can bring financial rewards too that increase in value the more naughty you get when performing the task. Continue reading »

Lust Game

Lust Game

A sex toy review doesn’t have to be about something that buzzes. Sex toys can be far more subtle and sensual than that. Anything that gets your juices flowing is great and intimate games such as the Lust game are perfect for the job.

Lust is a game for two players, no party antics here, it’s just for couples. Its rules are simple and the game is easy to play. The ultimate aim is to “Build a Fantasy” that you and your lover indulge yourself in when you reach the end.

In the box you will find a game board, two counters, a dice and two types of card, action cards and love making cards. You accumulate love making cards through the game as you successfully carry out the tasks given to you on the action cards.

The actions you perform can be anything from kissing in a certain way, touching your lover, communicating non-verbally, putting on romantic music, changing the lighting, lighting candles or telling your lover how you feel about them. Continue reading »

Discover Your LoverDiscover Your Lover is a game from the good people at Tease & Please. Like many of the adult themed games on the market it is designed to help you enjoy a fun and passionate evening with your significant other.

The game is played on a board, following a path of 55 numbered positions laid out as a pentagram. No, I don’t think you do have to be a master of the occult to play and enjoy this game but following the rules does require a little concentration so I’d recommend you bone-up on them before your soirée de l’amour.

The game is billed as one where anything is possible, with the consent of your lover. But then if your lover is so consenting why do you need a game? Well, you don’t but games like this always add the random element to your love-play and that’s a great thing. My main criticism of this game is that the rules are so complicated that understanding them when your mind is, shall we say, elsewhere, is quite difficult.

Monogamy Board Game

Monogamy Board Game

Another first for us today, reviewing a board game. The game in question is Monogamy. It’s been around since 2002 so you may have seen it in your local adult store or online, as we had. We never considered buying a copy as I suppose we viewed the game as a means for a couple to spice up their love life, and ours is spicy enough already.

If we hadn’t been sent a copy to review by the manufacturer Creative Conceptions we would never have known …

A quick synopsis of the game: Two players, over the age of consent move around a board up to six times using a single dice to dictate their moves. Each position on the board is marked out indicating whether the player should take a Monogamy Card (see below), have a drink, kiss the other player, remove an item of clothing, nibble an erogenous zone, give the other player a massage or use their imagination to stimulate their partner. Oh sorry, I forgot, you need to keep a little rude food to hand too because some of the squares require you to eat this from your partner’s body.
