I was really excited at the prospect of receiving the Viola Voice Activated Vibrator as I’ve never tested a voice/music/touch activated vibrator before.
Yes, there are vibrators which react to music once they are hooked up to your iPod they vibrate in rhythm with your music. But this vibrator operates in three different modes.
The packaging of this vibrator from Chinese manufacturers Easy Love L is, in a word interesting. Once you slip off the matt black sleeve featuring an image of the contents on the front and bullet points on the side including a pictoral one for Tides with what looks like an image of some curtains, you reveal the pink internal box.
This box has a textured “hand pressed” card effect embossed with the words “Easy Love L” in gold lettering.
Inside that you will find the Viola Voice Activated Rabbit Vibrator housed in a white satin former with a USB charging lead and an instruction manual.
Hmm on to the instruction manual. Well it’s written in a tiny font which makes determining which button to press very difficult as they are contained in circles to add to the problem. And then you have try and make sense of the pigeon English instructions.
If you use a bit of common sense you can work out how to use the Viola but the manual certainly needs a rewrite to clarify the instructions.
Whilst I refresh my mind by reading over them again you can take a look at what the Viola has to offer.
- Is fully rechargeable, so no fear of running out of batteries.
- Has dual motors for a more intense experience.
- Offers a wonderful g-spot shaped shaft and is comfortable to hold.
- Can be voice/music/touch operated or simply use the 10 x functions and 3 x speeds available. 😉
- Enhances your bathroom fun with its waterproof design.
- With an insertable length of 13cm and a circumference of 12cm.
I have to say that I felt a little spoilt for choice when I took the Viola in to my boudoir. Which mode of play was I going to try first…
…moments later I opted for the “Touch” mode and pre set it before I settled on to the bed. I wondered if it was working because nothing happened. That was until I eased the tip inside me, it was then the vibrations fired up.
As I eased more of the vibrator inside me the intensity and speed of the vibrations increased. The sensors seem to work on the rabbit side of the Viola so the closer it gets to your vaginal wall/g-spot the more intense they become.
The shape of the Viola fitted me perfectly. As I’ve mentioned before the mark of a good g-spot vibrator is if you can let go of the handle and the vibrator stays in place. And this one did, hugging my vaginal wall and caressing my clitoris.
But you do have to maintain contact by using your PC muscles to grip or the vibrations reduce and even cease. Not a situation guaranteed to have me coming. Stop/start vibrations leave me frustrated and dissatisfied. Patterns Yes but irregular vibes No.
So I decided to try voice activated, shouting “Fuck me” or “harder, harder” appealed to my sense of naughtiness. I shouted out several fuck me’s to be left cold and disappointed. The mini microphone in the base doesn’t seem to pick up your voice when reclining.
Bugger!
I called Alex in from the office adjacent to the bedroom to test out the voice control. Moments later we concluded that you either have to be within 12”of the microphone to have the Viola react.
Somehow I can’t see myself shouting at the top of my voice to get the vibrations to work so for me this didn’t work. If I have to shout so loud a) the neighbours can hear me and b) it’s not conducive to me enjoying an erotic moment.
Determined not to give up totally on this technology I…
Yep, I went for straightforward manual mode control with the option of ramping things up to the max. Or should I say 3 x the normal speed setting.
My conclusion at the end of the day is that some toys can be too clever for their own good and the very reason you were enticed to have them is their own downfall.
