Many years ago we bought a pair of handcuffs for play in the bedroom. The handcuffs are pressed from steel sheet, riveted together and in the case of the ones we received are nickel plated. For those of you with nickel allergy (like Suze) you can get the same cuffs in a black finish. The cuffs are joined by a two link welded chain attached at each end on a pressed steel swivel. The construction is the best of any handcuffs I’ve seen except for police issue Smith and Wesson.

Importantly you get two keys, just in case and to ensure your captive is secure and safe these handcuffs double-lock . For Smith and Wesson style cuffs this is essential and I would always advise you buy double-locking cuffs. Without the ability to lock the cuffs in one position you risk them tightening on your captive and risking an embarrassing call to the emergency services, or worse injuring them.

You double-lock these cuffs by pushing the small lug on the back of the key into a hole in each cuff. When locked in this way the handcuffs are unlocked by first turning the key anti-clockwise to release the “safety” and then clockwise to release the ratchet.

Because of Suze’s allergy I got to be the guinea pig for this particular piece of bondage equipment. The cuffs are quite small but luckily I have slim wrists so they fit, if a little snugly. If your man has broad wrists you might not be able to use these cuffs on him.

Suze had me kneel and cuffed me behind my back. It took a little fiddling to double lock the cuffs as that part of the mechanism isn’t the easiest to use in low light.

I have no doubt they will take a lot of heavy use without letting you down. Just be aware that you should pick the black finish if you have a nickel allergy and if the intended wearer doesn’t have slim wrists you may find them a little snug.
