Skins Vibe Rings
Skins Vibe Rings

We don’t review many disposable sex toys, on the whole because there aren’t that many of them. I can’t think of one disposable sex toy for women and when it comes to guys you just have the original Tenga Ona Cups and their variants plus the Tenga Eggs, the latter of which can be carefully cleaned and used a few times if you wish.

That makes the Skins Vibe ring somewhat unique.

Made for fun on the run, or at least as an impromptu addition to sex you’re more likely to find these in a vending machine alongside Skins’ range of condoms than a sex store. What you get for your money is a single use vibrating cock ring made from clear stretchy plastic. The battery is already fitted ready for some fun and the on-switch delivers a single buzzy speed. The ring is sealed in a plastic package, foiled on one side and very reminiscent of a condom packet. Not surprising from the makers of Skins Condoms.

The ring is very stretchy so will fit pretty much anyone but the on-switch is a little fiddly. The feel of the vibe is however better than any other micro-bullet vibe I’ve come across. Impressive since all the others I’ve used were in ostensibly reusable sex toys, this one doesn’t feel like it’s ready to fall apart just as you’re about to get really passionate.

Of course you want to know how it feels don’t you?

Well, putting the Skins Vibe Ring on is easy because the ring itself is very stretchy. Once in place I was surprised that the on/off switch was pretty easy to use despite its stiffness. So erect and buzzing I went to work, first missionary with the vibrator on top of my cock, then doggy with the vibrating bullet under it against my scrotum.

I know I can speak for both of us when I say that we weren’t blown away. Yes the eager, buzzy little bullet is pretty quiet and goes like the clappers trying to stimulate both partners but the frequency is too high for both out tastes and the power just isn’t there to make you go oooh! For both of us lower frequency and a higher amplitude of vibration (more power) would have worked better, even if this was at the expense of the claimed 30 minute run-time of the single-use bullet.

As you would expect Suze felt more stimulation in missionary and I felt more in doggy with the deranged bee that is the bullet against my scrotum.

For us the Skins Vibe ring is OK, a bit of buzzy fun, and if you are very sensitive you may get more out of it than us. But for the reasons listed above I have to say that this isn’t a toy that’s going change your sex life.
