Slippery When Wet, Exploring Female Lubes
I don’t tend to use much lube as my moisture levels are usually sufficient for me to masturbate. Occasionally I will add a little to a large vibe to ease entry and avoid friction burns. Lol And I always apply copious amounts to anal toys, one thing you can never have enough of is lube for anal play.
Personally I tend to steer clear of silicone based lubes because they can react with toys, although they are ideal for encounters in water as they stay around much longer. With the range of water based lubes on the market now you shouldn’t have a problem finding something to suit and some are made to a thicker consistency especially for anal.
When it comes to lubes it might be an idea to steer clear of those containing glycerine because there is some suggestion that they can promote yeast infections. The glycerine in them is apparently ideal yeast food. Some people use glycerine based lubes without any trouble but if you are having problems you could try an alternative, water-based, glycerine-free lube. These newer products can have other benefits too.
I have been sent a couple of samples of glycerine free lube to test.
The first one I tried was Pink Water Based Lubricant, it comes in a handy pump action dispenser for quick and easy application. Here is a run down of its properties:
- Glycerine free, water based
- Fortified with Aloe Vera, renowned for its healing and restorative properties
- Infused with hydroxy ethyl cellulose for enhanced natural moisture
- Unscented and flavour free
- Non marking
This lube just goes on and on, I was reminded of the duracel bunny. It is slick, clean and odourless. And a little goes a long way. When eventually it does dry out you aren’t left all sticky, it feels more like you have been moisturised instead.
A good all round lube which doesn’t leave you feeling dirty…well, not in that sense. 😉
Next up was Pink Frolic, a lube designed specially to be used with toys. My kind of lube. Again this lube comes in a pump action dispenser for trouble free dispensing. Again, I’ll give you a rundown of its properties:
- Water based, unscented and glycerine free
- Highly concentrated formulation to ensure it is delivered exactly where you require in and it stays there!
- Infused with Grapefruit Seed extract providing anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties
- Infused with hydroxy ethyl cellulose for enhanced natural moisture
This lube didn’t disappoint. It was glutinous and clung to my vibe instead of doing what most lubes do and running off, requiring a further application by the time you have positioned your vibe between your legs.
One drop did the trick and it lasted, making this lube very economical to use and in these credit crunch times that’s exactly what you want. Unlike the Water Based Lube this one didn’t leave you moisturised, simply clean and non sticky.
And just like the first Pink lube it had durability.
I can recommend both these lubes as they do exactly what they say on the tin without any fuss.
