We heard that ETL were bringing out two new colours of Bondage Tape recently so I rang them up to see if they would let me have a couple of rolls for review. Very kindly they agreed and so Suze and I had two rolls of tape to play with. One in baby blue, the other yellow.
Bondage tape is a new experience for us, so we were looking forward to experimenting with it. Because it’s not an obviously BDSM themed product it’s more fun than frightening so you wouldn’t have much difficulty in introducing the idea of using it to your partner. Even if they had never considered it before.
The soft plastic tape is non-adhesive. It sticks to itself, but nothing else, so you can control it very easily. Because it’s soft there are no sharp edges to spoil the fun and because the manufacturers claim it can be rolled up when you’ve finished playing you don’t have to throw it away when you’re through.
So how does it perform. Well, as I’ve said it’s soft and non-tacky. I began by binding Suze’s arm while she was typing. I wound the tape from her wrist up, past the elbow, until I reached the sleeve of her T-shirt. The first thing I noticed was that the tap has to be overlapped to avoid gaps where it can’t conform to the contours of your skin because it simply refused to stick to skin. Once you get the knack it’s easy to totally encase a limb in the tape.
I rolled the tape back onto the roll when Suze said she’d rather try it later in the evening. Re-rolling the tape for subsequent use is possible, but takes the patience of a saint … or maybe you should get your slave to do this for you? Hehehe.
Once in bed I first attempted a binding of Suze’s arms. She helpfully held out her arms and crossed her hands in front of her. I wound the tape off the roll around and through her limbs. In just a few seconds she was immobilised. I continued to wrap the tape around her arm, right up to the shoulder. At this point I realised I would have to cut the tape if I was to bind her other arm. That’s not a problem because you can lay the tape over itself and it will adhere. As long as you don’t cut the tape into very small lengths this will not impede you reusing it.
The tape will not tear, so there’s no escape for your slave. This does mean that if you are going to use the tape in short lengths you’ll need some scissors – not your teeth.
My inexperience with Bondage Tape showed when we realised the position I had bound Suze’s hands in was impractical for any further play so I unwound the tape. She asked if she could wrap me up. I asked her to explain and instead she gently took my arms and crossed them on my chest, King Tut-like. I was then wrapped from midriff to shoulders in blue Bondage Tape.
The sensation against my skin was quite unexpected. Not tacky, warm, enclosing, but not stifling. Suze pulled the tape gently taught, but such is its strength you could bind your subject tightly very easily and not risk a tear. Even though my arms were not bound as such I could not move. Despite being non-sticky the tape does adhere to your skin and gentle imprisons you. Suze smoothed the tape on my back and we discovered another secret of the tape. It’s great to be touched through bondage tape. It adds another sensual experience to the lexicon of arousing sensations we have.
If we’d had the time we would have experimented further, perhaps with a more complete mummification and slow touching. My cock, which found itself being gently teases into erection by Suze’s hand, had other ideas. The slow, sensual unwrapping finished the job that her hand had begun and left me with a hard-on that just had to be used.
There are lots of things that we have yet to try out with bondage tape and I’m sure we’ll keep coming up with new ones. It’s great fun.
Bondage tape also comes in black, red, pink, purple, white and clear. Why not get creative?
