When I get a new masturbator for review I look for interesting features and try to ignore meaningless gimmicks. After all a sex toy review has to be about how well a sex toy works and not about clever marketing, right? Well for the most part yes, but with the rise in the influence of Japanese pop art in the form of Manga and Anime it can’t be ignored that there are a lot of people who get off on the adult cartoon manifestation of this art which ultimately expresses itself as Hentai.
But back to the Rumiko Rose Stroker Masturbator. It’s obviously named with a nod towards one of the most successful Manga artists Rumiko Takahashi, though I’m not sure if the manufacturers, Topco have actually asked if they can be associated with her.
The masturbator comes in a compact box styled with a Kitsune girl wearing a pink catsuit and sporting blue hair. She asks you to “Please choose me … you will have many smiles.” We’ll see.
The toy is made from a single piece of cyberskin and “[the toys] lips are hand painted”. Not quite sure that hand painted lips make a lot of difference especially because as is the case with all cyberskin sex toys the colouring from the lips washed off when you first cleanse the toy leaving a very slight red tinge instead of the alarming red colour applied at the factory!
The features of the Rumiko Rose Stroker Masturbator which got me interested enough to request it for review were the Manga theme, but more importantly the sinuous shape of the ribbed canal inside it. My experience has taught me that simple strokers such as this work well with a curved “tunnel”.
Cyberskin needs to be used with water based lube, any kind of oil based product will destroy the material. Also you have to store the toy in a plastic bag away from other sex toys as both it and any other plastic toys may suffer if they are left in contact with each other.
Equipped with a suitable lubricant I encouraged myself into an erect state and tried out the toy. It’s only 13cm long so it was never going to be able to fully enclose my cock, but then that’s not the purpose of a stroker style masturbator, it’s all about stimulation in a compact package. The S shaped “tunnel” and the ribbing inside this toy provide plenty of stimulation and when your penis pops out of the end of the toy when you are fully inside it rubs you a little more.
Short strokes on the end of your member or long strokes all succeed in delivering very effective sensations to your most sensitive areas, particularly the frenulum and corona. Clean-up afterwards is also very easy because of the non-porous material and design of the toy. A little anti-bac soap, air dry and you’re done.
This isn’t the most intensely stimulating masturbator I’ve reviewed recently, but it is very good. One particularly nice point is that it’s the best stroker I’ve tried in terms of isolation of your hand from your penis. What I mean is that while some strokers are designed to allow you to apply pressure on your cock with your hand, the thick, dense walls of this masturbator mean you don’t feel the pressure of your hand. It’s a matter of personal taste, or maybe your mood, but sometimes feeling like the masturbator isn’t part of you is better than feeling your own hand squeezing you thought the material.
If you’re looking for a stroker/masturbator this is certainly one to consider, though the Manga reference is a little spurious and unless you get off looking at the packaging the toy itself will do little to give you a Hentai experience.
