Lux LX4 Cock Ring

I got a sense of deja vue when I received the Lux LX4+ cock ring for review. I’ll explain why later but for now I’ll cover the feature and performance of this rather well presented silicone cock ring.

The quality of this particular male sex toy is evident from the moment you begin to unpack it. A cellophane sleeve protects the satin-matt box that the product arrives in. This box is sealed with a white paper band printed in gold – it reminded me of the sort of seal found on boxes of cigars that I remember my father having when I was a kid. I think this a was conscious design choice on the part of the packaging designers, as was the way the top of the box is hinged. It looks like you ought to keep this male sex toy in a humidor!

Inside you’ll find a translucent piece of paper printed with details of the current Lux range and the manual which is specific top the product. The charger, international plug adapters and the cock ring itself are all held in a dense silicone foam block in the box. All in a very deliberately sombre matt black/charcoal grey. Can’t imagine where they got that colour scheme from, LOL.

The manual is multilingual, echoing the fact that you have adapters for UK (square pin), US, Asian and European mains outlets. First impressions over, down to the facts:

We tried this cock ring out expecting it to perform well but found it to be very powerful and a great way to enhance sex. For me it’s the perfect size because of its flexibility and as Suze described it “turns your cock into a vibrator” something that some toys claim to do but few achieve.

I can highly recommend this particular sex toy to anyone wanting a high quality cock ring. My only reservation being that there are no pulsing modes (which I like) just increasingly powerful continuous vibrations.

Now for the deja vue bit …

If you compare the features of this toy, its dimension and its performance with the Jopen Ego E3 cock ring you would be mistaken for having trouble telling them apart. Same features, same size ring, same excellent vibratory power. OK so the Ego is blue and this is black, the Ego is USB charged and this has a mains charger, the Ego have a scalloped bullet section, this is slightly smaller and smooth … but it might almost be the same device.

The charger for the Lux is rated at 5 volts/1 amp and as the Ego is USB charged I’m not going to try charging the Lux via USB because USB ports before USB three are only rated at 5 volts/0.5 amps. So the Lux should charge faster and that seems to be the case but otherwise I’m guessing the bullet is the same in each.

So which to choose. Well, they are both great toys so I’l leave that decision to you.

Zini Janus Prostate Massager

I’ve been a fan of Zini since they first appeared on the sex toy market but this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to review one of their quality products because it’s only recently that they have started to make male sex toys. Until now only Suze has been able to experience the pleasure provided by a company whose skills in design are only matched by their imagination.

The Janus Prostate Massager is a non-vibrating anal sex toy for men. It is based on a strong and springy plastic frame which provides the shape for the non-insertable part of the toy and rigidity for the section of the prostate massager that you insert. Wrapped around the insertable section is a silicone outer form which is shaped to stimulate the male G Spot, anus and rectum.

Three sizes are available and I tested the medium. However unless there’s a typo on the box there seems to be only a 1mm difference in diameter and no difference in weight between the small and medium version of this toy whereas the large version is 60% heavier and 40% wider with 13mm more insertable length.

There’s a lot of design gone in to this Zini product and that’s not been wasted on superfluous flourishes. Yes the shape of the toy is very attractive but all of its curves and details have a function. Internally the silicone section has a shape specifically constructed to stimulate the P Spot externally the springy plastic outer section applies pressure to the perineum, allows you to clench the rear section between your buttocks for great control and easily remove the toy with the hoop section.

While all of the design of this product has obviously been carefully thought out there are a couple of things I’d like to mention. Inserting anal sex toys has to be done carefully but the inclusion of a “Spring Structure” as described by the packaging is not something I’ve felt in need of until now “preventing sudden insertion”. Maybe solving a problem that doesn’t exist, or at least one that I have never encountered. The other is similarly minor but worthy of note as this is an anal sex toy. The interface between the hard plastic and silicone presents a deep depression around the shaft’s circumference that can harbour lube and other residues. It’s easy to clean and because the silicone and plastic frame are very firmly bonded together is unlikely to cause problems if the toy is carefully cleaned after use but is something to remember if you use a Zini Janus.

I found that the Zini Janus slipped in with no fuss and as I lay, letting the shape of the toy do its magic the pressure on my prostate from this small anal toy became quite intense. Maybe the large version would have given me that added feeling of fullness that I like but even this modest sized prostate massage certainly applied the delicious pressure on my P Spot that I enjoy so much.

Some male anal sex toys have a tendency to slip out during masturbation or sex, I did not find this with the Zini Janus Prostate Massager. The shape of the toy means that it sits firmly inside you without budging to deliver intense orgasms.

This unassuming but effective sex toy comes packaged simply with cardboard insert printed in blue and white on a black background. Some of the “points” it mentions about the toy seem to be translated less than accurately from the original Korean but that’s more amusing than a barrier to understanding. You can also point your mobile phone’s camera at the QR code the box carries and watch videos about the Zini range, I found them more interesting than informative.

I decided to use only the thicker, ribbed probe because it’s round end looked much more comfortable to negotiate through the tight opening of my ass. Call me cautious but the rather pointy looking end of the thinner probe looks too much like a slight misalignment might hurt.

I ran a bowl of water and got it to what I judged to be body temperature, or perhaps a little cooler by testing it with my hand. Then I submerged the bulb in the water, driving out the air and letting it draw in the water a couple of times until I was sure there was no air left inside. While I got ready to try the douche I stood it on the bulb which has a slightly flattened end so none of the water ran out. It’s quite stable because of the weight of the water but a little more of a flat on the base would be nice.

I then fitted the ribbed probe, lubed up with some thick water based lubricant and gently pressed the tip of the probe against my opening.

The douche slipped in very easily, and came to rest before I had reached the wide rubber collar at its base. I gently squoze bulb, letting the water enter me until I felt that I had sufficient fluid inside then slowly removed the douche. Releasing the water was an interesting experience but not the untidy affair I had feared. Probably because I had taken care to ensure the bulb contained no air before I started.

Cleaning the Colt Anal Douche is easy as its parts are smooth and non-porous. The tip of the larger probe unscrews so every millimetre can be thoroughly cleansed.

Super Sucker 2.0 Masturbator

The Super Sucker 2.0 Masturbator from Doc Johnson claims to give you a “natural super sucking action”, whatever that might be. The inference of course is that this masturbator is going to emulate the ministrations of a blowjob expert on your cock.

It’s made from soft, translucent UR3 material so as soon as I opened the packaging I was hit by the cloying and distinctive smell of Doc Johnson’s ubiquitous sex toy isomer. I washed the toy which does reduce the odour somewhat but it still lingered and although I’m used to the smell of UR3 from previous sex toy reviews I found the smell of this toy more intense than any I’ve tried before.

Along with the soft masturbation device is a powerful 7 function bullet vibrator. The bullet in itself is one that your partner might want to get their hands on for their own uses as it’s incredibly powerful. The three LR44 batteries needed to drive the bullet are provided in the box but when I loaded mine I found the O-ring which seals the battery compartment was made from a very inferior material and immediately stretched out of shape, leaving the battery compartment vulnerable to the ingress of water. Such a shame for such a nice little bullet.

Well, back to the masturbator sleeve itself. I inserted the bullet and found that the channel in which it fits was jagged and torn. Another miss on build quality by Doc Johnson. I was starting to feel a little disappointed by this sex toy; And from such well-known, established manufacturer too.

With a little water based lube and a handy erection I tried the Super Sucker 2.0 Masturbator out.

Well, it’s rather nice as it happens. The rubbing inside is distinct and effective and the sleeve stretched to accommodate my 7 ½ inches which is always a relief because some simply don’t manage it. The walls of the masturbator are rigid enough to make the internal contours effective for stimulation but thin enough to allow you good control as you stroke yourself. However the sucking action isn’t as distinct as I’d hoped, probably because UR3 is a very soft material so you are never going to create an effective vacuum in the top of the toy to give the sucking action.

Then there’s the vibrator. You can only feel the vibrations when you are fully embedded in the toy and the wider side of the flange on the base which contains the bullet is against your scrotum. When that’s the case your balls tingle with the bullet’s power but when the vibrating section of the toy isn’t in contact with the base of your cock you can feel nothing in your shaft just a little tingling in the finger soft your hand holding the toy.

Finally the translucency of the masturbator. I suspect that the properties of the UR3 material mean that it’s impossible to make it totally transparent. A pity because although you can see yourself inside the masturbator sleeve there’s no detail to perv over. Even when you cum inside things just get a little milkier than before and in that respect it’s inferior to truly transparent masturbators.

In summary I have to say that as a masturbator the Super Sucker 2.0 Masturbator from Doc Johnson is a perfectly serviceable sex toy. It does the job but it doesn’t suck, vibrate or give you a view of the action in ways that I had hoped.

To begin with, the basics.

The Nexus Gyro Xtreme is made from high grade silicone. It consists of a hemispherical base and a shaft that’s rather more “male” than its smaller generically styled stable mate the Nexus Gyro. The shaft is in the form of a stylised but simplified phallus, the “head” being 40mm wide at its widest point and the shaft 40mm wide too after slimming down just behind the “head”. The insertable length of this toy is nearly 150mm, dwarfing the original and smaller Nexus Gyro.
