Probe Personal Lubricant
Probe Personal Lubricant

It’s quite a while since I was sent some lubes to test and sex toy review which brings a welcome change of pace, no batteries or charging required.  😉

I have both the Probe Silky Light and the more viscous Thick Rich which is suggested for its longevity in use and anal toy play.  Both these lubricants are available in 250ml and as I have 75ml which is good for stowing away in a glove box or handbag.

The bottles are non fussy, almost clinical in their subdued branding which could further enhance their claims that they are water based, PH neutral and contain simple ingredients like citrus preservative.  We are looking more to the holistic approach in life so why not in sexual pleasure, some good wholesome fun.

Both lubricants are dispensed via a press and release cap, simply snap shut to avoid leakage.  I like the one fingered operation, easy for application during play.  😉

Here are Probes ingredients for you to savour…

  • Purified Water
  • Vegetable Glycerine
  • Polyethyene Oxide
  • Grapefruit seed extract

I gave both lubes the ultimate test on a jelly vibe, they always have a tendency to pull by the very nature of their jelly finish and I always use a good lube with them.  As I dispensed the “Silky Light” lubricant on to the tip of my vibe I noticed that just like cum or snot for that matter that it made strings as I applied it all over.

Because of the high water content I assume the lube formed small beads of lubrication all around the shaft and if you leave them too long they do dry as I found whilst writing this review.  So the advice here is to apply and use straight away.

When I rubbed a little of the lube between my fingers I found that it was readily absorbed and left no sticky residue, on the contrary my fingertips felt soft and smooth.  It was like I had applied a quality moisturiser to them.

This lubricant would almost certainly leave you feeling clean and fresh rather than sticky and needing to wash immediately.

In contrast I gave the “Thick Rich” lubricant a squeeze on to the same vibe and couldn’t wait to see how it performed.  I must confess when I applied this lube to my vibe and watched it run down the sides slightly slower that I had reservations about both its ability to lubricate what is essentially a non self lubricating area, your anal passage.

Again like the first test this lubricant beaded and formed strings as I applied it.  But my fears were soon allayed as I rubbed a drop of the lube between my index finger and thumb.  Far from being as viscous as I expected from an anal lube it does have all the qualities of a long lasting lube.

And without a trace of stickiness the lube rubbed directly in to my fingers.  So despite not being as viscous as most anal/long lasting lubricants the Probe Personal Lubricant does exactly what you would expect from a dependable lube.

An added bonus is the fact that relatively speaking the Probe Personal Lubricant is economically priced and therefore enticing.
