I’m sorry to say that as a remote toy the SenseMotion range (with the exception of the Oden cock ring) is not a product I would recommend you spend your hard earned cash on. The range is pricey and doesn’t deliver therefore I cannot ask that you pay the premium price that Lelo products command.

Lelo really do have some issues to address and perhaps relaunch with a more reliable product. I feel so disappointed because this could have been such a revolution in sex toys with its powerful motor, remote that echoes the vibrations felt by the user and orientation controlled vibrations; Sadly it falls well short of its initial promise.

Slim Fave From Pipedream Metal Worx

I was excited when I first saw the latest line of stainless steel toys from Pipedream because until then there was only one major player in the steel sex toy market, Njoy.

The Nexus Silo is a very simple anal sex toy and therefore you’d think a sex toy review like this would be very easy. Well in a way it is but as with all anal sex toys like this silicone butt plug you first need to add a good quality lube, otherwise things would be far from easy.

Oden Lelo Insignia SenseMotion Review

Male sex toy reviews are always better when I’m testing something a bit different. Sadly it’s quite rare that I test a male sex toy that has something a little bit different. There are some great male sex toys out there that are refinements of existing designs and ideas but you have to wait around to get one that makes you think –nice!

The Oden from the Lelo Insignia Sense Motion range is one such toy. It’s a cock ring, that Lelo like to describe as a couple’s ring. Of course any cock ring should be a sex toy for couples to enjoy but very often they end up helping the guy stay up and vibrating his naughty bits with little direct impact on his partner.

The Lelo Oden is very different. For a start this male sex toy will not help you maintain an erection. What it actually does is hook around the base of your cock with its little tail and therefore will fit any girth of penis. The really interesting thing about the SenseMotion Insignia toys from Lelo is that they have a separate control unit that pairs up with the toys in the range and gives remote controlled operation of the vibrating toy – hang on I hear you cry, that’s nothing new. No the remote part of the control isn’t. What is new and such great fun is that the remote control unit uses solid state gyroscopes to sense the orientation of the control and uses this to change the intensity of the vibrations delivered by the Oden couple’s ring. Admittedly there are six pulsing and vibrating modes that can be set using the control but they will be pretty superfluous when you start using the SenseMotion feature – every movement of the controller varies the sensation delivered by the Oden.

Suze loved it and so did I. It’s the first toy we’ve tested where one partner can intuitively control the sensations delivered by a sex toy worn by the other. I was minded of the Theremin musical instrument where movements of your hands alter the pitch and reverb produced and a wave of the hand, a flick of the wrist or a rhythmic movement can create amazing results.

That sums up the Oden.

To title a sex toy review as “Iconic” you have to be a) pretty sure the sex toy is iconic, of b) have a sex toy that claims to be iconic. Well in this case it’s the latter. And in my opinion the Jimmyjane Iconic cock ring is not iconic, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

This JimmyJane Cock Ring is not that average cock ring but one that while being quite simple in design does have features which separate if from the rest:

Fun Factory Duke Massager

The candle itself has been poured into a black glass tumbler shaped container, the white wax it containers contrasting starkly with the dark walls. This means the only part not easily reused is the thin foam pad placed just under the lid, presumably to protect the candle during transit.

Then there’s smell. As soon as you handle the box scent hits you. In our case the “Snow Pear and Cedar Wood” enticed me to open the packaging. The scent is pretty unisex and as pleasant as any “conventional” scented candle, perhaps a little more subtle than most. I lit the candle and placed it at the side of the desk while we did a little work and allowed it melt.

I expected the candle to form a pool of wax ready for use in a few minutes like the others we have used but this candle took a long time to create a reservoir of molten wax sufficient for a sensual massage.

Finally of course there is touch. The instructions that came with the candle recommended waiting 30 seconds before using the wax. Not long enough! The wax gets quite hot and although it did not burn skin when I drizzled it down Suze’s back she flinched and told me how hot it was. Hmmm. Not a good start to what is supposed to be a relaxing experience.

I therefore waited a couple of minutes and when I did begin again I poured the wax tentatively. This time the temperature was OK. The smell from the wax was pleasant but I found using it a little difficult because the melting point of the wax is a little too high leaving me with less lubrication than is necessary for a massage and sticking slightly to Suze’s back. It is possible that the wax would have performed better in a higher ambient temperature, though the length of time required for the wax to melt in the first place indicates a substantially higher melting point than previous massage candles we’ve tried.

So, what did I think? Well to be honest I was a little disappointed by this product. Not by the presentation or the smell of the candle, they cannot be faulted. The problem here is that when you actually try to use the candle wax for massage it didn’t work well for us. It was too hot when molten and when it cools the wax didn’t work for use as a massage oil. As I said above this may work better in a warmer ambient temperature but for us it wasn’t the best we’ve tried.

Now to the experience I mentioned.

Visually this product looks opulent without being overly embellished or showy. The matt black box has an image of the product inside which almost does justice to the beautifully designed bottle within. I say almost because the design of the bottle is second to none when it comes to massage oils. Black with a gold pump dispenser the carefully designed whole is topped with an ingenious amber coloured plastic ring which finishes off the design and creates a stylish halo around the dispenser preventing you from accidentally pressing the pump. Because the bottle is quite squat it will stand on any reasonably flat surface, including a mattress, unlike other taller containers which tend to fall over in such situations. This can be very inconvenient when you are massaging your partner in bed because you really want the oil close to hand.

The dispenser allows you to squirt oil onto your hand very accurately meaning there’s no waste and because it’s such a high quality a little goes a long way. As soon as you apply it to your partner’s skin it seems to warm up and immediately turn every movement of your hand over their skin into a smooth, relaxing and aromatic caress. The fragrance in the oil is pleasant and soothing neither male or female just very, very sensual.

Once you have enough oil for the area being massaged I found that there was no need to add any more even though I continued for around 15 minutes. When being massaged there was no perceptible decrease in the lubrication provided by the Flickering Touch Massage Oil during a similar length massage from Suze.

This is not a cheap product but because of how little you use it is excellent value for money. If you want to spend time with your partner it’s a great way to do so and adds a soothing and decadent element to your play.

A note of warning is required here. Unlike some massage products this is not a sexual lubricant, indeed the packaging warns against swallowing or contact with eyes. So wash your hands before you get a little more intimate.

And another thing. I honestly could not tell that either of us was “shimmering” any more than with any other massage oil. So I can’t say that containing 24 Karat gold has much of an effect. Don’t let that detract from this being a very impressive product that we really enjoyed using and will be using again soon

I don’t often tend to test and sex toy review a lubricant but I couldn’t resist trying out Lelo’s latest personal moisturiser. As with all things Lelo I had great expectations as their products are usually high quality and their failure rate with me is zero.

As with all Lelo products their packaging is classy. Your personal moisturiser is contained within a stylish matt and gloss black box. Now we come to the bottle itself, it reminds me of a 1940’s art deco bottle, which is black glass not the usual plastic, giving a feel of decadence from the moment you slip it from its sexy dark packaging.

Before slicking up I’ll give you a rundown on this quality personal lubricant.

Is a water based formula therefore it can be used with all types of toys.
Doesn’t contain glycerine or parabens and is hypoallergenic.
Its formula is non greasy and long lasting with added aloe vera to moisturise.
In an easy to use pump dispenser.
Unscented and flavour free.
It doesn’t mater if you get a little enthusiastic with the pump as the formula is non marking.

I tested the 150ml version of the product but you can also buy Lelo Personal Moisturiser in 75ml tubes for ease of storage or for travel.

There are certain qualities I look for in a good lube.

I try to steer clear of glycerine I don’t react well to it.
Depending on usage it’s good if the lube has a viscosity which enables it to cling to toys or even more if you are using it for anal play.
Staying power is all important, you don’t want to be half way through a bit of self pleasure and have things dry up on you.
Then finally, I give consideration to the feel of the lubricant on your skin post sex or toy play. I don’t want to be left feeling sticky.

We all need a little lubrication from time to time. I find at particular times of the month it’s nice to use a drop to avoid friction during intercourse and it’s great for clitoral play. It also enhances sensation when using toys for clitoral play.

And that’s exactly what I used it for. I found a small drop applied to my clit vibe completely coated the contact surfaces, you really don’t need much at all which makes it a very economical lubricant.

I’ve tested and sex toy reviewed a couple of Jimmyjane products which have impressed me and this is another I was eager to get my hands on.

The Iconic Pocket forms part of their “The Usual Suspects” range and is as the name suggests easy to secrete in you pocket to play with on the go, or when nobody else is in the office. When you are writing a sex toy review there are some manufacturers who you can count on to give their sex toys an interesting name. Lelo is one of them, though the Lelo Sensua Suede Whip almost breaks that rule – come on guys dropping an “L” from an adjective isn’t that creative. LOL

I am of course happy to forgive that little detail because this is a lovely product to use.

The handle is of transparent acrylic plastic, the one we received for review is tinted purple, terminating in a chromed metal ball. The 25cm long suede tassels are attached to the other end of the handle by a chromed metal ferrel. The suede is dyed to match the handle and smells very sexy, well, if like me you like leather

The Sensua Suede Whip comes in three colours, purple, red and black. No surprises there, they have to be the colours most of us regard as sexy and opulent. And that’s what this sex toy is, it makes you feel indulgent. This isn’t a whip with which you would inflict pain, for that you need to look elsewhere.
